Screen Printed Transfers: The feel of screen printing with the convenience of vinyl transfers

There are tons of ways to decorate, and each has its pros and cons.  Screen printed transfers have several advantages over traditional screen printing. They are great for offsite events due to their easy transportability, are perfect for printing on demand, and offer a stress-free approach to last minute orders.

They can be printed in single or multicolor, which makes it easy to produce custom transfers. Additionally, you have the opportunity to make hundreds of pre-printed designs, store them aside, and then heat press them on when they are needed for a print job. Printed transfers are also useful for items that are hard to print on with a screen print or direct-to-garment printer. This process makes creating intricate designs on caps, name tags, and individualized jerseys possible with quicker production times.

Here are a few ways to leverage the convenience of transfers:

  • Pre-Printed Designs for Events: Have you heard horror stories of printing a thousand shirts, then going to an event and selling only a few hundred? Screen printing transfers for an event means you can heat press the garment on demand. You can save a ton of time and money with this option.

  • Decorating Hats: Screen printing hats is no easy feat. However, printing a transfer on a flat piece of transfer paper and then using a cap heat transfer press to transfer the design onto the hat is easy. Since hats are not often washed, there is really no difference in the longevity of the print.

  • Names for Sports Apparel: Instead of screen printing a bunch of names requiring added labor to custom place each garment for the correct position, we can do a heat transfer. We can screen print several names on a heat transfer sheet, cut them out, and then heat press them onto the garment, eliminating extra screen charges. You can even screen print numbers and heat transfer those as well.

  • Blocked Hole Jersey Printing: Some customers prefer that the holes in mesh jerseys are blocked. Instead of trying to pile ink on top of the jersey, we can use a heat transfer to keep the ink up on top of the mesh.

  • Blanket Customer Orders: For those customers that want to pick up shirts as they need them, we can print and store transfers for them so that they can be heat pressed whenever they desire.

  • Neck Label Transfers for Retail Customers or Your Private Label: Whether you own your own apparel line or a customer wants more personal branding on their apparel, using heat transfers is a great way to make neck labels. When creating the label, make sure to include the branding, sizing, wash and wear instructions, fabric content, CPSIA information, and country of origin for fabric.
